Dear Habitat for Humanity,

I am writing you this letter to formally express my deepest gratitude for your most valuable assistance in providing the funds to re-do my roof.

As you are aware, I am a senior citizen with limited income. As such, I could not afford to have my roof replaced if it was not for your generous assistance.

Please accept my most sincere gratitude and I hope that others who may need your help will be as fortunate as I have been thanks to your organization.

Words cannot express how much having a home through Habitat for Humanity means to my family & I. We have learned so much in the process leading up to our closing date. Not to mention, we’ve met some awesome people along the way. Having gotten a home through Habitat has given us a sense of pride & most of all determination. Accomplishing so much with this organization made us feel like there’s nothing we cannot do.

Dear Habitat, 

As you know I have been volunteering with Habitat for years!  I very much appreciated the approval of a project for my home.  My home is old so replacing windows/ patio door on the second floor was a real challenge.   The crew doing the work was the one I always work with- add a group of volunteers with a church group and the project went very well.   We had a good time and the job got done.  I now have new windows making my home more energy efficient. 

This was a success and a wonderful experience- I now understand the good that Habitat does from all sides!!

To Monroe County Habitat for Humanity, 

The years had passed, income became limited, and concerns mounted as our chimney continued to fall into disrepair and unsafe condition. Additionally, our heating stove was outdated and in need of repair. The TLC we had given to its maintenance was no longer optional. Never had there been such great hope for mild winters!

Upon learning about the home preservation program that Monroe County Habitat for Humanity has we made a phone call to inquire. We were approved. Monroe County Habitat for Humanity staff reached out to their resources and made the necessary arrangements for the repairs. The volunteers were so dedicated to the project. Some very skilled while humbly guiding and assigning others eager to learn and give back.

We can’t say enough good words about all of them! We are forever grateful for Monroe County Habitat for Humanity.
