San Francisco cable car signs are issued and maintained by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA). Older, Mid-Century signs are enameled and highly collectible. Official Enamel Transit / Stop Signs: True, early-to-mid 20th-century porcelain enamel public transit stop signs (like bus or streetcar stops) generally command between $300 and $700+ at auction and on-line, we found a similar one, smaller for $225.
